Forecasting
Periodic application of Schedule Risk Assessment (Pertmaster/Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis) to the project schedule after FEED, may provide a level of insight long missing from project analysis. By rigorously determining and monitoring schedule duration uncertainty, we now have the tool to provide a realistic project schedule forecast. While the project schedule does provide us with completion date, it does not reflect the uncertainty that resides within the schedule. We may think we know the end date, but do we?
Intercede, in conjunction with your staff and contractors, can assist in determining the range of expected finish dates, thereby providing additional confidence that your project will meet its goals, or alert you early enough to take appropriate action. The key here is timely awareness that portrays current understanding. As the project matures, and we gain new understanding of remaining uncertainties, we must incorporate this new understanding. New challenges may have emerged or old fears have proved less/or more daunting.
Keeping Intercede periodically involved may provide the best
assurance of meeting project obligations.
